My Thoughts:

Penelope B’s Great Mission is a delightful book and I rated it 5 Stars!

In the literal manner of the young, she sets off to find this Jesus she has been hearing about in church. While misguided, she is very serious about her quest and doesn’t allow interruptions from anything or anyone!

I like that the author shows Penelope’s single-mindedness. It is that type singlemindedness that we all should have when we approach a relationship with Jesus the Christ.

I would have wished for simpler language, however, with the churchy language, the author makes an important point.

When we as adults speak about God, we have to make it like rss1 i.e. plain for the youngest in the congregation. We know that if they get it, the rest of us will as well.

I am so intrigued with the writing of the author Peaches Dean and the illustration of Mike Motz2 that I am have already purchased another of her books and will be handing off my copy of Penelope B’s Great Mission to my daughter for my grandson.

So, does Penelope accomplish her great mission? I’m not telling, get a copy of the book, you won’t regret it!

2 I am not sure if he is her illustrator for the new book. He did an excellent job with this book.

Thanks for reading, until my next review.
